Oto. That’s it? This is what we’re doing with this plot? Well, that was anticlimactic.
Pon. This is all very weird. The Jetmans are just pawns in the space war now. How long has it been since there was an actual monster of the week? Well … one episode. But, you know what I mean.
Oto. I wonder if those castings of their masks are still around. I want them.
Pon. I dunno what else to say. That was just strange.
Oto. It wasn’t strange, it was terrible. That was a horrible way to end that arc. They weren’t even all there. Most of the Jetmans were stone masks. Ryu and Radiguet manage to fight off Tranza on their own somehow. Even though we’ve seen that he can clearly hold his own against both of them.
Pon. They leveled up.
Pon. I dunno why you’re so mad. I don’t really have expectations of this kind of show.
Oto. I do. The reason I’m mad is because it just wasn’t that fun to watch. And then Tranza ends up in some mental institution? Fuck off.
Pon. I guess that’s fair, if you think about what this show is supposed to be for.
Oto. Wait. So Radiguet is supposed to be a lot stronger now? Missed when that happened. There was no real progression shown. I kinda feel like they’re just trying to get shit done now because the show’s almost over. Feels kinda rushed. Maybe rushed is the wrong word. There doesn’t seem to be much of a plot to rush. It’s just hectic.
Pon. I feel like there’s an unusual amount of plot. It doesn’t have to be this complicated. Monster shows up, they kill it, sometimes they get an upgrade.
Oto. Yeah, maybe.
Pon. Is it more complicated than that, usually?
Oto. Well, no. Not necessarily. Sometimes. I’ve seen sentais do plot. Sometimes it’s pretty fuckin good. Go watch Kyouryuger. I think that’s undoubtedly my favorite sentai.
